On Friday morning at around 3:25 a.m., a semi drove straight through the trailer of another semi in Wiggins, Colorado on I-76.
In the video from Denver 7, a semitrailer is seen on its side, flipped across both lanes of traffic. It appears that after the first semi had flipped, a second semi drove straight through its trailer. The trailer was cut in half and debris was spilled across the scene.
It spun across lanes in the opposite direction.
A minivan was also reportedly involved in the collision. The extent of its involvement is unclear at this time.
Police reported that the injuries suffered by the three drivers were not serious.
I-76 remains closed in both directions at mile marker 60 while troopers investigate. The Department of Transportation has detours in place and suggests Colorado 52 as an alternate route.
