In Kenosha County, Wisconsin, on April 24th, two semi-truck drivers protected traffic from a pick-up truck driver who was unconscious behind the wheel.
According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, Brian Carney, 52, of Northfield, was spotted going northbound on I-94, slumped over his steering wheel, repeatedly hitting the freeway’s wall.
Kenosha News reported that two semi-truck drivers trailed the vehicle in order to keep other traffic away from danger. The pick-up began to slow down, and one semi-truck driver, Rafal Jedlewski, left his truck, got into the pickup, hit the brakes and stopped the vehicle.
The semi-truck drivers pulled the unconscious Carney from the scene and administered CPR until an ambulance arrived. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities believe Carney to have suffered a medical incident while driving. Investigations are underway.
