Interstate 79 in Harrison County, West Virginia has been shut down in both directions after a semi truck hauling coal crashed and was set ablaze. WBOY12 has reported the driver was trapped inside the semi and has died on the scene.
The crash happened around 6:40 AM near mile post 112. There is no word yet on the driver’s identity, except that he was driving for Nuzum Trucking Company. We’ll keep you updated as more information is available.
Update: The I-79 in both directions is now open.
