Earl Nunn, the owner of Nu World Trucking, a 2 truck fleet, recently plead guilty to theft charges.

Nunn along with his nephew and son, bob tailed to truck stops in search for look for unattended trailers. When they spotted one, they would simply hook the trailer to their own tractors and drive off.

Prosecutors believe their theft ring spanned across 9 states, mostly in the mid-west. Nunn and his nephew, Michael Lee Sherley, will face up to 10 years in prison, along with a fine of up to $250,000.

The charge in which they both plead guilty to occurred in May 2013, when they stole a trailer containing $73,000 worth of canned corn.

Nu World Trucking has had it’s carrier status revoked three times since 2013.
