A semi truck was left dangling off an overpass after the driver mistook an off-ramp for an express lane.
The crash happened on Thursday morning, around 4:17 a.m., on Interstate 95 in Boca Raton, Florida.
The driver, William Brake, was traveling at approximately 65 mph when he hit the exit ramp guardrail.
He told reporters that he didn’t realize he was on the exit lane until it was too late.
“I was on expressway and thought that this was part of the expressway. (It) was a surprise. I am not the only 18-wheeler that had this problem at this time of night. You’re cruising and then you get to this point and you say, ‘What’s going on?’ and it’s too late,” he told WPTV reporters.
Crews were able to safely get the truck off the guardrail around 9:32 a.m.
