A truck driver learned a tough lesson on the I-15 near Temecula, California.
After finding 19 year old Jerimiah Hartline hiding in the berth of his truck, he decided to help the stranded teen by allowing him to continue riding in the truck across California.
When the driver got out of the vehicle at a weigh station, Hartline jumped into the driver seat and drove off.
His getaway didn’t last long, however. Shortly after hijacking the truck, the teen slammed into several cars before completley flipping over and covering all four lanes of the highway.
He then proceeded to exit the cab and attempt to steal a van from a driver that stopped to offer help. He was pinned down by the driver and held until police showed up.
Hartline’s defense for his actions? “He just said that he was being chased by zombies,” an officer that arrived at the scene quoted.
Seven people in all were injured and we hope they are doing well now.
Let this be a lesson to all:
1) Don’t let strangers in your truck.
2) Especially if they are being chased by zombies.
