On Saturday morning in Sheridan, Wyoming, one person was hospitalized after a semi-truck exploded at a Walmart parking lot.
According to Sheridan Media, Sheridan and Goose Valley units responded to the fire around 8:15 a.m.
Upon emergency official’s arrival, the cab was completely engulfed in flames.
CDLLife posted the first-hand experience of one witness.
“I was parked beside this guy all night, got out and went into Walmart and did some shopping came back to truck and put my stuff away, did my log book, I smelled propane, didn’t know where it was coming from when I got back to my truck, I left and about 5 minutes later his guys truck explodes, he was blown out of his truck and has burns on 90% of his body I was told, and is expected of recover. He was cooking inside the cab other a portable propane stove; hopefully you can show this and warn others about three danger of cooking with propane in a close up cab of a truck.”
The damage to the truck was extensive.
The individual inside the cab was taken to Sheridan Memorial Hospital by Rocky Mountain Ambulance.
