Heading into North Carolina? You may want to pay extra attention to the posted speed limit.
According to My Fox 8, North Carolina highway troopers will issue tickets to anyone traveling one-mile-per hour above the speed limit as part of the governor’s new “Obey the sign or pay the fine” safety initiative.
The enforcement program is aimed at dispelling the widespread belief that it’s okay for drivers to travel 1 to 9 mph above posted limits.
The zero-tolerance program is slated to begin on Thursday, March 24th
