An 11-year-old took police on an hour-long high speed chase after stealing a concrete truck in Dodge Center, Minnesota, on Sunday afternoon.

According to KTIV, the chase started when an officer attempted to pull the truck over for speeding on Highway 14. The boy refused to stop, and sideswiped the trooper’s vehicle as it continued on.

That’s when multiple troopers were called in to pursue the truck. The chase eventually wound through the local streets of Dodge Center, circling the area 6 or 7 times at speeds up to 70-miles-per hour, before finally coming to an end on the 600 block of 5th Street Southeast.

“He was smiling, hooting and hollering…he was having a good time,” said resident Troy Flatness, who witnessed the truck pass by.

The driver of the truck was identified as an 11-year-old Dodge Center resident. His name was not released.

No one was injured, however two police cruisers were damaged during the chase.

The boy was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center in Rochester.
