A truck driver from Georgia was robbed after leaving a Waffle House restaurant in Orangeburg County, South Carolina on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on the 3200 block of Five Chop Road around 3:15 a.m.
According to The Times and Democrat, the driver had just finished a meal at the restaurant and was performing a pretrip inspection on his semi truck, which was parked at the gas station next door, when he was approached by two men.
The men placed a gun to his head and demanded money, and threatened to kill him if he didn’t comply.
After giving the men his cash, they demanded more. The driver then handed over his credit and debit cards, as well as his truck keys and personal keys.
Police have not released a description of the suspects, but said they fled in a “dark-colored Nissan”.
Investigators say they will review the restaurant’s surveillance footage for clues.
