A train derailed after striking a semi truck near Sidney, Nebraska, on Monday morning.
According to The Sidney Sun-Telegraph, the incident occurred around 1 a.m., near mile marker 45 on US Highway 30.
The two crew members on the Union Pacific train were “shaken up” but not injured. The driver and passenger of the semi truck left the rig after getting stuck on the tracks, and were also not injured.
10 rail cars were derailed in the incident. The train was carrying intermodal containers from Oregon to Chicago.
An investigation is currently underway to determine why the semi got stuck on the tracks.
