A semi trailer loaded wit bricks was split in half after being struck by a train in Sullivan County, Indiana.
The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, just east of US 41.
According to CBS-2, the truck driver made a wrong turn onto County Road 950 North, and got stuck while attempting to cross the railroad tracks.
The driver then left his vehicle and called 911. Police alerted the rail company, who contacted the train conductor about the rig on the tracks. The train was not able to stop in time, however.
Sgt. Joe Watts of the Indiana State Police commented on the incident. “911 dispatch called CSX to warn any oncoming trains. CSX warned their train. The train was bearing down on the trailer and was not able to stop. It struck the trailer and split the trailer in half,” he said.
No one was injured in the crash.
