Highway 99 in Sacramento County, California, was closed after a semi truck crashed and hung off an overpass on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the southbound lanes, near Eschinger Road. All vehicles are being diverted off the highway to Grant Line Road.
Witnesses say the semi truck, which was hauling a load of almonds, caught fire and burned as it leaned on the highway barrier, over the Cosumnes River overflow
