The driver of a Pontiac Bonneville was seriously injured after crashing into a parked semi truck in Tooele County, Utah on Friday night.

The Pontiac collided into the back of the semi truck that was parked on the westbound Interstate 80 with its warning triangles out. The semi truck was waiting for a maintenance vehicle.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the driver of the Pontiac was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of his vehicle on impact. He was was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

The truck driver was inside the cab of his truck when the crash occurred, but was unharmed.
