Strong winds caused a power line to come crashing down on a truck, shocking the driver and sending him flying 20 feet into the air at a Pilot Travel Center in Iowa.
The incident occurred at the truck stop near S 24th st and Mid America Drive in Council Bluffs.
The driver was standing outside his truck when the power line fell, sending a jolt of electricity through his body.
According to the driver, who did not want him full name disclosed: “I noticed some flames coming and I went back because the first thing I wanted to do was to remove the truck from the trailer, and I reached underneath the trailer and grabbed the release handle. It sent me about 15 to 20 feet and I hit the trailer next to me and then I hit the ground”
Several truck driver were forced to wait in their trucks until the wires were completely removed from the ground.
