A reckless motorist was recently caught on camera fleeing the scene after causing two semi trucks to crash in the middle of the highway.
The video was filmed in Huzhou City in East China’s Zhejiang Province and was posted to Youtube last week, where it has since gained more than 80,000 views.
In the clip, a white sedan can be seen coming to a stop in the middle of a highway after missing an exit, forcing a box truck traveling behind it to slam on its brakes. The truck then swerves and successfully avoids the sedan but overturns in the process, landing on its side on the right shoulder of the roadway.
A second truck then approaches the stopped sedan and slams on its brakes, this one jackknifing and spilling some sort of liquid in the middle of the roadway.
The white sedan then creeps forward and cuts across the lanes, exiting the highway and leaving the two wrecked truck drivers to deal with the aftermath.
Fortunately, neither truck driver was hurt in the incident.
Authorities say that the responsible motorist was tracked down and found, but it is not clear what citations, if any, they received.
