A truck driver was killed on Thursday evening after being stabbed at a rest stop in Bell County, Texas.
The incident occurred at the rest stop on northbound Interstate 35 at exit 281, south of Salado. The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital after the stabbing, where he later died from his wounds.
Investigators say the man who stabbed him was a truck driver trainee that was being trained by the victim. According to witnesses, the two men got into a verbal altercation before the stabbing occurred.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, but was arrested after officers found him walking along the I-35 access road later that evening.
