A motorist recently captured a close call on video after an oversize load fell off a truck and nearly crushed a flagger who was directing traffic.
It happened at the intersection of Fulton Industrial and Hollowell Parkway, in Atlanta, Georgia.
In the footage, the large concrete beam can be seen falling off the truck as it crosses the intersection, coming within inches of flattening the flagger who was able to narrowly avoid it by stepping out the way.
The motorist says he was recording the trucks because he was amazed by the size of the beams being hauled, but didn’t expect to capture the accident on video.
“I was waiting on traffic signal I noticed a giant oversized truck transporting concrete beams and it’s unusual to see such big trucks to travel on US route highways, so I decided to record when the first truck passed. Then, unexpectedly I recorded the incident. I was so terrified by the sound that was caused by the impact,” he wrote.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
