Masked Gunmen Flee Robbery Scene After Truck Driver Shoots Back

Two masked gunman tried to rob a delivery truck driver on Friday morning, but fled the scene after the driver returned fire.

The incident occurred in Florence, South Carolina, early Friday morning.

According to SCNOW.com, two masked men approached a delivery truck in the parking lot of a Florence business and ordered the driver onto the ground, when a scuffle ensued.

During the scuffle, one of the masked suspects fired his weapon, wounding the driver.

The injured driver then drew his own concealed handgun and returned fire. The two suspects left the scene running.

The driver’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

A police investigation is underway. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-888-CRIMESC.
