As Truck Driver Appreciation week comes to a close, over 100 trucks will gather for a special cause: to raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics in Wisconsin.

The event being held on September 20th will be the 10th year of the tradition, which has been dubbed the “World’s Largest truck Convoy’. In 2013, 136 truckers participated, raising over $90,000 for the event. The convoy will travel 53 miles, down Highway 41 in Wisconsin and will be escorted by police.

To kick off the event, there will be an auction for the lead spot in the convoy, which starts at 10:15 am. Closing events will include raffles, a tailgate party, and live music.

Those who wish to join in can sign up at the Pioneer Travel Plaza, located off exit 60 on Highway 41.
