One European truck driver, Leonid Papachin, made a mistake and ended up travelling in the wrong direction down a UK highway.
As he entered the highway on an exit ramp, he decided to pull off a risky maneuver, making a U-turn across multiple lanes.
The Motorway patrol witnessed the event on CCTV cameras and the driver was ultimately charged with reckless driving and given probation, as well as having his license suspended for 18 months.
Though it was an innocent mistake, and no one was harmed in the dangerous maneuver, Motorway patrol manager, chief inspector Jed White, said they must always prosecute incidents like this as they happen often and must be used to demonstrate the punishment to other drivers.
