A truck driver was puled to safety after crashing into a hotel sign as he was leaving a Flying J truck stop in Tooele County, Utah,

According to KSL.com, a firefighter who was fueling up at the Flying J witnessed the crash and rushed to the driver’s aid. He was able to free the driver from the cab of the truck, moments before it burst into flames.

The incident occurred near the Flying J on Route 36 and Saddleback Boulevard.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

The Utah Highway Patrol are investigating the accident and believe that impairment was not as factor, and that a medical issue may have been the cause of the crash. Chad McCoy of the Utah High Patrol said the driver may have passed out or blacked out as he was pulling out of the Flying J.
