The body of a deceased truck driver was found under a bridge after his rig burned on the southbound I-75 in Kentucky this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 AM over the Clay’s Ferry bridge.
According to a witness, who saw the incident from the opposite side of the highway, the truck hit a guardrail before bursting into flames.
Lexington police are still trying to determine how the driver ended up underneath the bridge. According to news station Lex 18 in Kentucky, there is some speculation that the driver may have fell over the bridge after frantically escaping the burning rig due to low visibility caused by the fire and smoke.
The driver’s identity has not yet been released.
