A tractor trailer traveling on an Ohio highway was clipped by a low-flying plane on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened on Ohio 53, near the Fremont airport.
According to CBS-62, the plane’s landing gear struck the top of the trailer as it was approaching the runway of the nearby airport.

The driver of the truck heard a loud thump and pulled over, thinking he had blown a tire on his rig. Then he realized he’d been struck by a small plane.
“I was just driving down Ohio 53, and I heard a boom. It rocked the trailer. I thought the semi was going over,” said trucker Russ Street.
“I thought I might have blown a couple tires.”

Police say the pilot of the aircraft, 71-year-old John Randall, was attempting to land after a short practice flight.
No one was injured in the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine why the plane was coming in so low.
