
A pedestrian is seriously injured after “intentionally trying to get hit” by an oncoming semi truck in Colorado on Monday.
The incident occurred on May 28th at approximately 11:56 p.m. in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
According to the Denver Post, the semi truck was traveling along Interstate 25 near downtown Colorado Springs when the unnamed truck driver says that a man ran out into the middle of the road from the west, did a “side shuffle” to align himself with the oncoming tractor trailer, and was subsequently hit, breaking the pedestrian’s leg and laying him out on the ground.

Immediately following the incident, the pedestrian told emergency responders that he was “intentionally trying to get hit.”
Luckily, the truck driver was not hurt in the crash, and the unidentified pedestrian, though suffering form a broken leg, is expected to make a full recovery.
I-25 was shut down for about an hour as crews worked to clear the wreck.
The incident is still under investigation and it is not clear if any citations have been issued as a result of the crash.
