
The Department of Transportation announced on Monday that a man pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to bribe a public servant in exchange for a passing CDL road test score.
According to the OIG press release, in February of 2015, Robert Laudermann of West Jordan, Utah offered a $1,000 bribe to a third-party CDL tester.
On August 24, 2016, after an intensive investigation by the DOT and the Utah Department of Safety, Lauderman pleaded guilty to bribery.
He received a sentence of one year of jail time, which was subsequently suspended. He also was issued a year of probation and a fine of $1,000.
