Frozen mangoes were strewn across a highway in California on Tuesday after a semi truck caught fire, destroying the trailer and causing hours of traffic jams.
The accident happened on July 24th at around 4:30 a.m. near Oceanside, California.
According to NBC San Diego, the semi truck was traveling north on Interstate 5 near Las Pulgas Road when the trucker noticed his rig felt as if it was leaning in an unusual way. The driver then pulled over and quickly realized that his truck was on fire so he called 911.
The driver was unhurt in the ordeal, but firefighters were forced to block off two lanes of northbound I-5 as the extinguished the flames and cleaned up the boxes of spilled frozen mango.
At one point, traffic was backed up for 10 miles. Even as much as two hours after the reopening of all northbound lanes, drivers were experiencing backups of more than 30 minutes.
