A group of good Samaritans in pick-up trucks traveled around Tyler, Texas, looking to help vehicles that were struck on the icy roads yesterday. One of the rescues, which was filmed on video, took four pickups to pull a loaded tractor trailer to safety.
Tyler-resident Robbie Hunt said he spotted the tractor trailer that was stuck on Loop 323, so Hunt and attempted to pull the big rig up the icy hill. When one pickup couldn’t get the job done, Hunt banded together with three other friends — hooking up four pickups together in order to successfully pull the truck.
“The four truck pull was because the guy said he had like 36,000 pounds in his trailer!” Hunt said.
