
Five people have died after a crash involving multiple semi trucks and a passenger car forced the closure of Interstate 30 in Texas on Friday morning.
The accident happened on March 23rd at approximately 8:15 a.m. on eastbound I-30 at Business 271 and Talco Road in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
According to KLTV News, the exact circumstances of the wreck are not yet known, but at least three semi trucks and one minivan were involved.

Five people were inside the minivan at the time of the crash. The driver was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, but the three children and a second adult inside the van were killed in the wreck. One of the truck drivers involved was also declared dead at the scene of the crash, but there is no word on the conditions of the other truck drivers.
A portion of eastbound I-30 has been shut down as officials investigate the wreck and clear the debris. Drivers are being encouraged to find alternate routes, as the roadway is expected to remain closed into the evening.
