A semi truck went crashing through the walls of an Indiana business after colliding with a pickup abandoned along the highway early on Monday morning.

The accident happened on March 26th at approximately 7:15 a.m. in Elkhart, Indiana.

According to Indiana State Police Sergeant Ted Bohner, the semi truck was traveling east on the Indiana Toll Road near mile marker 90 when, for unknown reasons, it began to drift from its lane. The big rig then struck an abandoned pickup truck parked on the shoulder of the highway, sending both vehicles crashing through the wall of Altec Engineering at 2944 Gateway Drive.

The force of the impact tore open the cab of the semi truck, ripped two walls from the metal building, and crushed the abandoned pickup. Luckily, the truck driver sustained only minor injuries in the incident, reported the South Bend Tribune.

Crews worked for hours to clear the wreckage and mop up spilled diesel fuel, but it is not yet known whether the truck driver has received any citations.

Officials are still investigating the incident.
