A passenger vehicle was involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler early Wednesday morning, causing the truck to overturn and spill beer on the roadway.
It happened on a Lone Island Expressway (Interstate 495) service road in Melville, New York.
According to police reports, the truck and car crashed at the intersection of the Service road and Walt Whitman Road around 12:15 a.m. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Both drivers were transported to Nassau University Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the car received a ticket for unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
