A 16-year-old was struck by a U.S. Postal Service tractor trailer on Friday while riding his bike in Jacksonville, Florida.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. when Ganaliel Guzman tried to cross the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and 118th street, but rode his bike in the path of the semi truck.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the truck driver, 69-year-old Russel Jackson, saw the boy at the last moment and tried to miss him by swerving to the right, but was not able to avoid hitting him. Jackson had a green light at the time of the crash and was not charged.
